About Us

The Graduate in Visual Culture Association (GVCA) is a graduate student-run organization that operates within but is separate from, the Department of Art History at Queen’s University. The GVCA is a vibrant hub of networking, peer support, professional and academic development, and social activities for graduate students in the Art History and Art Conservation Department of Queen’s University. All students within the department are automatically part of the GVCA, though GVCA activities are run by the executives and committees.

Run by the GVCA, this website primarily showcases the research, work, and accomplishments of students, alumni, and faculty in the department. The site also covers various events, lectures, and exhibitions at Queen’s University that are of interest to those in art history and art conservation programs.
